About 250 Syrian women, Kurds and Arabs, have joined the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces in Hasaka province, activists said.
The first batch of female fighters, who operate under the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), have received an extensive training by the the Hasaka-based U.S. forces.
Activists told Zaman al-Wasl that Washington need to decorate the Kurdish-led militia with Arab and other ethnics living in Hasaka like Assyrians.
The deteriorating living condition pushed tens of Syrian girls to join YPJ militia. Each female fighter will get $200 per month, according to Hasaka-based journalist.
