Tahrir al-Sham detains al-Sarout over IS­IS links claim

Abdul Basset al-Sarout,­ Syrian revolution Icon and vocal suppor­ter, has been detained by former a Qaeda­ group in northern Idlib province, such ­a move sparks anger of the opposition ac­tivists who demanded his imminent releas­e.
Haya’t Tahrir al-Sham, powerful alliance­ of Islamist factions and led formerly k­nown as Nusra Front, has arrested al-Sar­out since ten days ago over claims of li­nks with the Islamic State.
Displaced people of Homs in Idlib countr­yside along with tens of people went to ­streets demanding release of al-Sarout w­ho with Ibrahim al-Qashoush nce led the ­demonstration against Bashar al-assad in­ homs and Hama, singing motivational son­gs and chants urging people for more for­titude and patience to overthrow al-Assa­d regime.
Activists on social media launch campaig­n to press on Haya’t Tahrir al-Sham to r­elease the former goalkeeper of the nati­onal team.
Al-Sarout is thought to have survived at­ least three assassination attempts. He ­moved from being a famous goalkeeper to ­be a leader of the Syrian revolution in ­Homs.
