U.S.-led coalition airstrikes killed 8 people on Sunday in eastern Deir Ezzor province, topping the death toll to 26 in less than 24 hours, activists said.
The strikes hit a commercial zone in al-Mayadeen city after a day of deadly strikes left 8 family members dead, mostly women and children.
On Saturday, 10 civilians were also killed and 13 more were wounded in regime and Russia’s airstrikes on al-Salihiya town in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, activist Rami al-Ahmed said.
The death toll from the Coalition strikes reach a total of 500 people in the last three months, according to local monitoring groups. Most victims were family members.
The US-led air campaign against the Islamic State jihadist group in Syria began on September 23, 2014.
