Syrian regime has withdrawn agroup of its elite Fourth Division forces from southern Daraa province on Wednesday due the cessation of hostilities agreement which brokered by Moscow and Washington two weeks ago, rebel commander told Ammar Johmani.
Russia vowed to Israel to make the agreement a perminant deal to secure the border line with the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights and the territory adjacent to Jordan.
The withdrawal of elite forces was a sign by Damascus that the agreement is a long-term one, activists said.
On Sunday, Russia deployed military police at the checkpoints of regime army in the city of al-Sanamayn, 55 km (38 miles) north of Daraa as well in Kherbet Ghazaleh town, Salam Mohamed, rebel commander said.
Also in Daraa, 11 rebel groups on Saturday have merged to unify armed and political agenda and what may serve a united Syria, according to statement posted online.
'The National Front for the Liberation of Syria' is the outcome of necessity as the the opposition armed factions suffer weakness due to mounting rifts and discords, activists said.
The statement assreted that no one can decide the destiny of the Syrian people, decrying the dictations by the regional powers and the International Community.
The 11 factions assured on the revolution principals and as the the unity of the Syrian land, calling on other factions to join their new alliance.
