Islamist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group arrested 8 moderate fighters over claims they contacted regime army in northern Idlib province, sources told Ammar Johmani.
The rebel fighters, who fled Madaya town with their families last April due to the four-town evacuation agreement, were a victim of a new abuse by formerly known as Nusra Front, al-Qaeda's Syria branch.
The source said Tahrir al-Sham had stormed houses of Madaya displaced on Friday and arrested 8 fighters over claims they wanted to return to their border town in the western Qalamoun due to the reconciliation agreement.
The hardline group has dominated the northern province of Idlib after defeating Ahrar al-Sham movement in July and suppressing rival rebel factions.
