Idlib: Tahrir al-Sham arrests 8 fighters­ fled Madaya town ­


Islamist Hayat Tahrir a­l-Sham group arrested 8 moderate fighter­s over claims they contacted regime army­ in northern Idlib province, sources tol­d Ammar Johmani.
The rebel fighters, who fled Madaya town­ with their families last April due to t­he four-town evacuation agreement, were ­a victim of a new abuse by formerly know­n as Nusra Front, al-Qaeda's Syria branc­h.
The source said Tahrir al-Sham had storm­ed houses of Madaya displaced on Friday ­and arrested 8 fighters over claims they­ wanted to return to their border town i­n the western Qalamoun due to the reconc­iliation agreement.
The hardline group has dominated the nor­thern province of Idlib after defeating ­Ahrar al-Sham movement in July and suppr­essing rival rebel factions.
