The Syrian Free Army (FSA) on Tuesday managed to shoot down a Syrian military aircraft in the eastern Swaida countryside, after which the pilot and his family were arrested.
"The plane was shot down in Wadi Mahmoud area in the eastern region of Suweida, near the Syrian-Jordanian border, and was shot down by ground-based anti-aircraft operations," Saad al-Hajj, Consisting of the army of the eastern lions and the forces of martyr Ahmad al-'Abdu.
The pilot took off his umbrella in the area, and then the elements of the factions there searched for him and later arrested him.
According to the Al-Darar Al-Shamiya correspondent earlier, two planes belonging to the Jordanian air force penetrated the Syrian airspace on Tuesday and flew over the common borders of the two countries.
Although Suwaida was included in the agreement to reduce the escalation in southwestern Syria, the Syrian regime and its supporting militias launched a renewed attack on the area over the last few days and quickly reached the borders of the Kingdom of Jordan.
