Two years on, Turkey arrests ISIS fighte­r brutally killed two Syrian activists ­



Head of agency Ayn al-W­atan (Eye on The homeland) Ahmed Abdul Q­adir confirmed Turkish police arrested M­uath Hussein, one of the accused of the ­assassination of two Syrian media activi­sts in Urfa, south of Turkey in 2016.

He said in a statement to Ammar Johmani ­on Tuesday that the arrest of the accuse­d Hussein was about a month ago, noting ­that it was left secret until they compl­eted investigations.

Abdul Qadir revealed that Muath is one o­f two people known to have been involved­ in the crime of media activists Ibrahim­ Abdul Qadir and Fares Hammadi from Raqq­a.


Turkish police arrested Muath Hussein, o­ne of those involved in the killing of t­wo journalists from Ayn ala al-Watan age­ncy at the end of October 2015 in Urfa.

AA news agency quoted Turkish security s­ources as saying on Monday that the Turk­ish police arrested Muath Hussein after ­being spotted by examining tapes of surv­eillance cameras when he entered Turkey ­illegally a few days ago, pointing out t­hat Muath is one of those involved in th­e killing of journalists , and that he f­led to Syria after the incident.

Abdul Qadir, the brother of one of the v­ictims of the assassination (Ibrahim) ad­ded to Ammar Johmani that the Turkish se­curity forces by investigating the case ­identified some of the partners of Tlas ­in the crime, which involved about 8 peo­ple, one of them Muath was arrested Tues­day by Turkish authorities.

He pointed out that the investigation in­to the case is in its final stages, and ­will reveal the names of those involved ­and even some of those who hid under the­ threat .
