Mikdad discuss with several of Arab Foreign Ministers bilateral relations


Cairo, SANA-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Fayssal Mikdad, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, during Arab ministerial meeting held at  headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo.

Both sides discussed the latest developments on the Arab and regional arenas and the bilateral relations and means of developing them.

The two sides affirmed the importance of boosting the bilateral cooperation in light of directions of leaders of both countries,  particularly after the visit of President Bashar al-Assad to Sultanate of Oman and his meeting with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, and it was agreed to continue consultation and coordination in the interest of the two brotherly countries.

Minister Mikdad also met Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad.

During the meeting, Mikdad affirmed that Syria appreciated the Mauritanian stance supporting to confront the terrorist war imposed on it, expressing that Syria aspirated  for more cooperation and coordination with Mauritania to confront  various forms of challenges facing the two countries.

Mauritanian Minister, in his turn, renewed his country’s stance in support of Syria in the face of misleading campaigns that target it, noting that joint Arab action without Syria is not Arab action.

Minister Mikdad met his Tunisian counterpart, Nabil Ammar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad.

The two sides stressed their satisfaction with the level of relations between the two countries under the leadership of Presidents Bashar al-Assad and Qais bin Said.

The two sides expressed their mutual support and solidarity in facing the common challenges of the two countries, and the views were identical in affirming the liberation of the occupied Palestinian territories and the occupied Syrian Golan.
