Syria expresses solidarity and condolences over victims of devastated Storm Daniel in Libya


Damascus, SANA- Syria expresses its heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the Libyan government and brotherly people due to the Storm Daniel lashed eastern Libya and left more than 3000 deaths.

The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said, in a statement on Tuesday, that “The government of the Syrian Arab Republic offers heartfelt condolences to the Libyan government and brotherly people over the painful ordeal caused by the devastated Storm Daniel and claimed the life of more than 3000 people and left thousands of injured and missing people, in addition to large material damages.”

The statement added that “Syria sincerely shares the fraternal leadership, government and people of Libya in their plight,” and expressed its condolences to the families of the victims, the missing and the injured.

Syria is confident with the ability of sisterly Libyan state in overcoming difficulties, and the ability of the Libyan people and their institutions to overcome the catastrophic impacts of this hurricane, according to the Foreign Ministry statement.
