Fuel and food are running out in Gaza…the injured and sick are dying slowly every day

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- Thousands of injured and sick people are in UNRWA shelters without treatment, food or water, which exacerbates their health situation because they don’t have the inability to leave these centers due to the intensity of the Israeli occupation bombing.

The continued Israeli bombing causes massive damage and kill or injured thousands of victims, mostly women and children.

The wounded Manal Awawda told SANA correspondent: “I suffered injuries, fractures, and severe burns in the barbaric bombing that targeted the Bureij camp market in the middle of Gaza Strip a few days ago.”

“Due to increasing number of wounded in al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, the doctors asked me to leave the hospital despite the seriousness of my health condition and my need for treatment and now I currently reside in the shelter center in Nuseirat,” She added.

Awawda noted that there are horrific and frightening scenes inside al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, such as severe burns to all parts of the body and children whose limbs were amputated as a result of the aggression, and they have no place inside the hospital.

In his turn, Dr. Muhammad Isaeed at Al Awda Hospital underlined that most of the wounded who come to the hospital have deep burns that are difficult to deal with, especially after the collapse of health systems in all hospitals as fuel and medicine are running out.

He pointed out that the surgeries are being undergone for the wounded without anesthesia.

The wounded Abdul Jawad Abu Dhan said “Five members of my family were martyred in a brutal Israeli bombardment on our house, I am living in a shelter center now, we do not have food or water, and I am trying to relieve my pain by taking some painkillers and treatments.”

He noted that the health situation is constantly deteriorating, and health care is collapsing due to the occupation’s deliberate bombing of hospitals and health centers.

The shelter centers are also full with thousands of patients, including those suffering from chronic diseases such as cancer, kidney failure, and diabetes; they cannot find the necessary medicines and health care after the Strip’s hospitals went out of service as a result of the occupation directly airstrikes
