Damascus, SANA- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Bassam Sabbagh, discussed with Deputy Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Ibrahim Azizi and the accompanying delegation the means of enhancing the bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of exerting the diplomatic and parliamentary efforts in enhancing coordination and cooperation in various fields.
Sabbagh stressed that the role of parliamentarians in Syria and Iran is important in supporting their countries’ issues on the regional and international arenas, as well as the need of mobilizing all efforts to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli occupation.
He stressed that the date of October 7 returned the Palestinian cause and its people’s right to self-determination and its resistance to the Israeli occupation to the forefront of the regional and international political scene.
In his turn , Azizi offered condolences to the martyrs of the Military Academy in Homs, stressing that Iran supports Syria in combating terrorism, pointing out that the Palestinian resistance proved through Operation Al-Aqsa Flood that the Zionist entity is fragile, whose heroism is limited to killing women and children in Gaza.
