Tehran, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, discussed with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian the developments of the situation in the region and the brutal Israeli aggression on the Palestinian territories in the Gaza Strip and the entire region, in addition to bilateral relations and the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation in various fields of common interest.
During their meeting on the sidelines of the High Level International Consultative Conference on Palestine held in the Iranian capital, Tehran, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh, the two ministers stressed the importance of mobilizing international solidarity in order to stop the Zionist aggression against the defenseless Palestinian people.
Mikdad praised the initiative of Iran and the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to hold this international conference in solidarity with Palestine, which sent a strong message in support of the Palestinian people.
For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the centrality of the Palestinian issue, stressing the importance of bilateral cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
The International Solidarity Conference with Palestine concluded its work, as the final statement of the conference stressed that the solution to the Palestinian issue depends on ending the occupation and fully fulfilling the rights of the Palestinian people.
It also affirmed that the actions of the Zionist entity are illegal and have absolutely no justification, calling for an end to the crimes of the Zionists in the Gaza Strip, stressing that the Palestinian people are the ones who decide their own fate, calling for the opening of the crossings to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people and for international organizations to fulfill their pledges towards the Palestinian cause.
