The eighth batch of al-Waer neighborhood’s evacuees on Friday left the last rebel stronghold in Homs city, heading Jarablus town at the Turkish border due to an evacuation deal forced, till now, 13300 people to leave Homs in weekly batches, local reporter said.
Thirty buses were loaded early Friday with 1100 people, including rebel fighters and their families, resuming an evacuation expected to be among the largest of its kind under a Russian-backed deal with the regime.
The evacuation is scheduled to deport about 25000 rebels and their families.
