Ammar Johmani on Thursday has revealed names of 59 military pilots who operate in Damascus International Airport southeast of the capital.
The first civil airport in Syria is affiliated to the powerful military Air Force where two brigades surround the vast airport.
Meanwhile, the airport that was the country's busiest airport has turned into a cargo airport where the Iranian weapons and militiamen have been pouring to Syria since the onset of the revolution in March 2011.
Reports said at least 20,000 Shiite fighters from Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan have entered Syria through the International airport.
The airport and the 11-mile road leading to it have been closed intermittently and most international airlines have ceased flights
