At least 35 Islamic State fighters were killed Saturday by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Saraya al-Sham at the Lebanese border, rebel commander told Ammar Johmani.
Hussein Abu Ali, the spokesman for Saray al-Sham said his group and the former al-Qaeda branch in Syria had thwarted the ISIS attack on their bastions in the Western Qalamoun near the border town of Arsal.
The clashes that still underway have left 5 fighters killed from Saraya al-Sham, Abu Ali added.
Syrian displace at the border are highly concerned by the fight amid fears on any retaliation from the Lebanese army that may leave casualties.
