The Lebanese army, backed by security forces, on Friday morning, 30-6-2017, cordoned off and raided the camps of Al Nour and the Homs for Syrian refugees in the Lebanese town of Arsal, using live bullets, resulting in the deaths of more than 150 Syrian refugees from the camps. Fled from the scourge of the Assad gangs and their sectarian militias in search of security and safety for their children and their symptoms, with the aim of pressuring the Syrian refugees and pushing them to implement humiliating compromises with the criminal Assad regime, which some seek in cooperation with the militia of Hezbollah.
We in the Movement for the Liberation of the homeland consider that this campaign is one of the stations through which the regime tries to eliminate the revolution and pressure on its popular population.
We call upon the United Nations, international organizations and human rights organizations to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and immediately intervene to stop violations by the Lebanese authorities against the Syrian refugees in Arsal which harm the reputation of the Lebanese institutions. We call upon the States of the Syrian people to intervene and put an end to these flagrant violations. Release of detainees.
We also appeal to the honorable people, the Government and the leadership of the Lebanese people to pressure their Government to stop such practices.
And call our Syrian refugees in Lebanon in general and a special envoy to patience and endurance and restraint until God writes to us the clear victory.
