Sweida, SANA- Sweida Agricultural Directorate has initially estimated the province’s total production of apple for the current season at nearly 45,530 tons.
The Assistant Director of Agriculture, Eng. Alaa Shuhaib, said that the estimated production of apple is good, but it is Relatively less than last season, due to the weather conditions that the province witnessed two months ago.
He indicated that the total areas planted with apples for the current season amounted to about 16,038 hectares, containing 3.467 million trees, of which the fruit is 2 million and 876,000 trees.
