Bratislava, SANA- The Honorary Consulate of the Syrian Arab Republic was inaugurated on Thursday in the Slovak capital, Bratislava, in the presence of Ambassador Hassan Khaddour, Syria’s permanent representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna, the Syrian Ambassador to Austria, and the Honorary Syrian Consul to Slovakia, Ibrahim Al-Ali.
The opening ceremony was attended by Slovak Deputy Minister of Economy Vladimir Šimona, Director of Middle East and Africa Department. Valér Franko, Dean of Honorary Consuls in Slovakia Ikor Jonas, Libyan Ambassador to Slovakia Khaled Shaban, Palestinian Ambassador Safa Khalidi, and a number of members of the Syrian community in Slovakia.
