Damascus, SANA-President Bashar al-Assad issued Legislative Decree No. (38), which stipulates the establishment of the “General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic” that reports directly to the President and replaces the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.
This General Secretariat aims to provide work that assists the President in performing his duties and powers, and it is responsible for managing administrative, financial and legal matters of the Presidency and supervising them, and it is headed by a Secretary-General.
