Washington, SANA- Josh Paul, a former senior official in the US State Department said that (Israel) commits war crimes in Gaza and uses American weapons to kill the civilian there.
Paul expressed his dissatisfaction with the failure of American political officials to criticize the US policy towards supporting its ally and exporting weapons to (Israel).
Criticism of “Israel” is a taboo topic in American politics, especially in Congress, and this discourages American political officials from expressing what they think publicly.
Providing US weapons to countries with questionable human rights records has always sparked controversy at the State Department, Paul said in an interview with France Press Agency.
Josh Paul, who served as director of public relations and negotiators in the Bureau of Political and Military Affairs at the State Department, submitted his resignation last month, had sparked controversy in Washington.
