Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will remain above average in this period of the year as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy with an opportunity of rain showers over several areas, while the showers will be heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms over the coastal region.
The Department warned against fog in some inland areas during the night hours and in the early morning.
The wind will be southwesterly with low to a moderate speed and the sea waves will be low to moderate in height.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 21 / 10, Homs 19 / 10, Tartous 23 / 17, Aleppo 17 / 10, Deir Ezzor 18 / 10.
