Geneva, SANA- The latest developments in Syria and the region, especially in Gaza, were the focus of the talks conducted between Deputy Foreign Minister Bassam Sabbagh and the UN Special Envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen.
In the meeting held on the sideline of the Global Refugee Conference in Geneva, the two parties discussed several topics related to the work of Pedersen and the meeting and communication he conducted recently.
Sabbagh reiterated that the UN has to take a crystal clear position from the nonstop violation to Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, mainly those on the airports and vital civil facilities.
He also presented the catastrophic impacts of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the humanitarian situation in Syria, along with looting the country’s natural resources that must belong only to the Syrians.
