In the first round of the group C of the Asian Cup, the Iranian team defeated Palestine 4-1, while the UAE defeated Hong Kong team 3-1 within the same group.
The Syrian team tied 0-0 with its Uzbek counterpart at the opening match of its Asian Cup participation in group B.
